Sullivan County ARES Net Script

This script is for reference.


This is W1SUL calling the Sullivan County ARES net.  The purpose of this net is to conduct training in emergency communications within the Sullivan County NH area.  This net is for training purposes. Any emergency traffic is simulated.  If this were an actual emergency it would be announced at this time.

This is a directed net, but may be broken at any time for emergency communications.

All licensed amateur radio operators interested in training in emergency skills and desiring to contribute to ARES activities are invited to check into this net.

Should the repeater system fail during the net, activities will continue as simplex operations on 147.555 MHz. Those stations beyond simplex range of net control may meet on six-meter simplex at 50.200 MHz, upper sideband. A Liaison station back to the 2-meter net will be chosen from among those meeting on six meters.

When checking into the net state your call sign , your location, name, and whether you hold traffic or other business for the net.

Now looking for any stations with emergency traffic.

 (Acknowledge Stations and list traffic.)

Now looking for any ARES or NTS liaison stations.

 (Acknowledge)

Now looking for any mobile stations.

 (Acknowledge)

Now looking for any Stations within Sullivan County NH.

 (Acknowledge)

Now looking for other stations wishing to join the net.

 (Acknowledge)

The following stations are checked into the net:

(List all stations that have checked in)

Pick and confirm an Alternate NCS station.

Pass Emergency traffic if any.

Pass other traffic and net business.

Conduct the nets training discussion.

Conduct general comments and any discussion.

Close the Net

The NHARES Sullivan Country group wants to thank the (# - include yourself) stations who took time to contribute to this ARES emergency training activity and to thank K1JY and the Sullivan County Amateur Radio Group for the use of the repeaters for ARES training activities.  This is  W1SUL now returning the repeaters to regular amateur use.
